WHAT IS SECOND CHANCE EMPLOYMENT?

In todays hiring market most employers classify themselves as second chance employers, but what does that actually mean? Many businesses have pledged to ignore individuals charges, regardless of whether they are felonies or misdemeanors, if they are outside of 10 years and some companies have a lower threshold of 7 years. 

Many companies will hire individuals with misdemeanors on a case by case basis. Due to the nature of certain industries, companies tend to avoid charges that involve violence, theft, or fraud. When searching the blog, the individuals who fit into these categories should look for jobs that either indicate "no" background check or are "case by case".
